Maybe after 1000 years you will be able to stop blaming the English of the early 20th century: <From a pure neutral historical point of view the so called allies with the unbridled arrogance of the English and French generated since WWI the mess we need to cope with today if in E. Europe or ME and Asia.>

You might even like to stop blaming Stalin.

At some stage, the local yokels around the world will have to admit that their way of life has more to do with what they do each morning than what the English did 1000 years ago. Or not. They could go on like some mystical tribe chanting incantations at the sky about visitation by aliens 1000 years ago.

It's the 21st century now Haim.

Have some referenda in Ukraine, then hold some elections. Hey presto, problems solved. Anyone who doesn't like it can sell up and move to the part they prefer. Whining about the English in the early 20th century, or during the Crimean war, is silly. The Charge of the Light Brigade is from a bygone era. That was my great great grandfather in the English army in eastern France. I'd complain to him for you but he's deceased.

Of course what happened then affects now. What happened then is why I was born in NZ. There's no use me whining about it. Getting up in the morning and doing something useful is more important. We can't rewind the clock. There's only forwards. Having referenda and elections is a good way to decide the way forward. Shooting and bombing people is not such a good idea.

An election in Crimea [done] and in Eastern Ukraine [should be done] and in Lithuania, Estonia, [done]. Russia [done]. Easy. No muss, no fuss.
