Hope something gets done in DC in the next 2 years. But do we care? The current state of the economy being on the upswing is not because of Congress but in spite of it. Some, off course, remain in denial.

Merry Christmas and Happy Hannukah.

You talk of redistribution. One thing I used to think is that the GOP liked to redistribute from the 99% to the 1% and the Democrats liked to redistribute from the 1% to the 99%. I think redistribution in any direction is wrong, if the government is doing the redistribution. However, it used to be that the GOP and Dems would keep the pendulum roughly in the center, because both opposing forces helped our economy find a happy equilibrium. The problem we have now is that BOTH parties are redistributing from the 99% to the 1%. There is no longer any equilibrium. Everything bad began to accelerate during the Bush Jr administration. Obama continued Bush's mess and doubled down on it. We're in deep shit now.
