Not to mention engaging in the occasional act of convenience store redistribution. The Mayor of New York City announces that his ridiculously famous son has to be afraid of the police. Obama agrees that his imaginary son also has to be afraid of the police. Their claims are equally plausible. The lynch mobs make it their mission to invade holiday events, protest parades and scream racist rants. Then they begin attacking police officers. The media insists that protests whose participants chant, “What do we want? Dead cops!” are peaceful. This homicidally insane definition of “peaceful” had only previously been applied to Islam. And then, shockingly, surprisingly, out of the blue, protests led by Al Sharpton featuring violent attacks on cops finally achieve their goal with the murder of two police officers. Ismaaiyl Abdullah Brinsley announced on Instagram, “I’m Putting Wings On Pigs Today. They Take 1 Of Ours…Let’s Take 2 of Theirs.” #ShootThePolice #RIPErivGarner #RIPMike Brown. It may have been the first murder that came with its own progressive social media hashtags. But even the most violently peaceful lynch mobs eventually end with a lynching. There is no such thing as a peaceful lynch mob. There is no such thing as peacefully supporting a lynch mob. Al Sharpton is not just an MSNBC talk show host. He isn’t a goofy fellow who mispronounces things on the teleprompter. He isn’t these things just as he wasn’t a funny fat man in a track suit wearing a gold medallion the size of the Bronx around his neck. Those are the things that make him seem like a joke. And he isn’t a joke. He leads lynch mobs. Sharpton led a lynch mob through Crown Heights and racist violence tore the neighborhood apart and took lives. He led a lynch mob to a store in Harlem and the store burned with employees inside. That is what lynch mobs do. Since then Sharpton slimmed down and swapped out colorful track suits for expensive custom made Soho pinstripe suits. He became a regular visitor to the White House and City Hall. He spoke at the Democratic National Convention and got a slot on that party’s favorite news network. And then twenty years later he brought back the lynch mobs. And once again people died. Two cops are dead in New York City because Barack Obama, Bill de Blasio and the Democratic Party embraced Sharpton and everything he stood for. They embraced his racist ideology of hate. They made their party into the party of crime. Officers Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu weren’t white. Their only crime was being cops in a city whose radical left-wing mayor and media had signed off on an anti-cop campaign. Their deaths are a bloody reminder that black racism isn’t limited to white people. The elites celebrating the return of left-wing rule to New York City after decades of Republicans in Gracie Mansion had forgotten the most important lesson that New Yorkers of all races had learned during the years of Sharpton’s terror; black racist lynch mobs kill as surely as white ones do. Now Bill de Blasio is wiping away crocodile tears at a press conference while Al Sharpton and the gang of gutter activists that trails these protests is pretending to be shocked and surprised that their lynch mobs actually killed two cops. The same media that had been ridiculing the NYPD for its “hysterical” warnings that the racist lynch mobs would cost lives is also putting on its best shocked face for the cameras. Sharpton is doing what he always does best: Playing provocateur and then trying to wash his hands of the consequences. Al never kills anyone. He just riles up the mob and someone in the mob does the dirty work. Al works the mob and through him the mob has a direct line to the White House. When FDR put Hugo Black in the Supreme Court, he put the Klan on the Court. The Democratic Party’s hate groups and lynch mobs may have changed color, but everything else stayed the same. When Obama made Sharpton his messenger to the black community, when Bill de Blasio let Sharpton and his people control city government and when Attorney General Eric Schneiderman promised that Sharpton would have an “annex” in the state capitol, the Democratic Party embraced the man whose racist rhetoric took more lives than the 1963 Birmingham church bombing. The Democratic Party and its top politicians didn’t just endorse Sharpton. They endorsed his tactics and his hate. Now the blood of two murdered police officers is on their hands. “The mayor’s hands are literally dripping with our blood because of his words, actions and policies,” the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association has said. “The blood of 2 executed police officers is on the hands of Mayor de Blasio,” is the message from the Sergeants Benevolent Association. But Bill de Blasio did not act alone. He did what the rest of his party had gotten used to doing. The Democratic Party reverted to its roots of a party of crime. It forgot the lesson of the Willie Horton ad. It tested the waters by promoting “sentencing reform” for drug dealers and then it went all in by race-baiting the Michael Brown and Eric Garner cases. It was so enthused about recruiting community organizers and increasing black turnout that it forgot that lynch mobs don’t vote. They kill. Suddenly the tactics that Sharpton had pioneered in his track suit days became the face of the Democratic Party. New Tawana Brawleys were crawling out from under every rock in the nation. Innocents senselessly attacked by vile cops whose stories turned out to be about as real as Sharpton’s tax records. Everyone was having fun telling lies and screaming hate and then cops began to die. By Post Editorial Board December 27, 2014 nypost.com Alice Walker is a Pulitzer Prize-winning author who’s made her moral case against the Cuban embargo scathingly clear. In a letter to then-President Bill Clinton, she said, “Even if you despise Fidel and even if the Cubans should not have shot down the planes violating their air space .?.?. the embargo is wrong because it punishes people .?.?. for being who they are.” As it happens, we have sympathy for the argument that opening up regimes to the world may well do more to fight oppression than boycotts and embargoes. But when it comes to Alice Walker, the same woman who has argued passionately against the embargo on Cuba supports similar attempts to isolate the Jewish state. Likewise Stephen Hawking. While Hawking supports boycotts against Israel, years ago he signed a letter saying the Cuban embargo deprives “innocent people of the basic needs for a decent life, all in the name of freedom and democracy.” Guess it’s OK so long as any pain is felt by Israelis. Ditto for Nobel Peace Prize winner Rigoberta Menchu who this month denounced the use of economic sanctions against Cuba as “criminal.” But the same woman supports efforts to divest from companies that have any dealings with the Israeli military. Finally, there’s Danny Glover, who has also supported boycotts against Israel. Glover isn’t the deepest thinker, but he at least makes clear his double standard: He opposes the Cuban embargo — because he admires Havana’s Communist regime. There is a principled case against embargoes and boycotts. But it stops being principled when it is applied as selectively as so many of the anti-Israel crowd are doing.

How Desperate is the administration to Shut Bibi Up? Very. Because the minute attention is diverted from the usual media nonsense to the reality of the administration’s chicanery with Iran, the second “centerpiece” of this administration (the first being ObamaCare) will be exposed for the equally foolhardy nonsense it is. When Selassie addressed the League of Nations, Italy withdrew its delegation and Italian journalists in the galleries jeered and blew whistles given them by Mussolini’s son-in-law to drown out his message, Selassie waited for the demonstration to end and then delivered his powerful message. I don’t know if the administration has handed out whistles to the sycophants in the American media, but it has fed them a bill of goods suggesting falsely that this tiff is merely the result of personal antagonism between the two leaders. But the running dogs of the jihadists are boycotting the speech: The boycott lists consists of two groups. Congressional Black Caucus members who are offended on Obama’s behalf and can smell racism anywhere. The other consists of opponents of Israel. It’s instructive to compare the list of boycotters to the 54 members of Congress who signed a letter calling for an end to Israel’s blockade of Hamas in Gaza. Of the 25 current boycotters, Earl Blumenauer, Raúl Grijalva, Keith Ellison, Peter DeFazio, Betty McCollum, Jim McDermott, Barbara Lee, and John Yarmuth had also signed the Hamas letter in 2010. Considering how much the makeup of the House has changed then and not in the favor of the Democrats, the overlap is quite significant. A number of these are also among the top recipients of CAIR cash in Congress. Their boycott isn’t some new response to something Netanyahu did. They’re longtime opponents of Israel. Here’s what I wrote about some of these creatures back then. The makeup of Congress has changed, for the better, but some of this remains relevant. Congresswoman Betty McCollum has been waging her own private war on Israel, right down to issuing an imperial demand that Israeli Ambassador Oren attend the national conference of the far left anti-Israel group, J Street. McCollum famously belittled Hamas’ shelling of Israel as nothing more than a drug gang’s drive by shooting and repeated the discredited white phosphorous smear. McDermott was actually named CAIR’s Public Official of the Year. And it is instructive to note how many of the congressmen and congresswomen on the list are funded by CAIR money. Keith Ellison, John Conyers, Loretta Sanchez, Betty McCollum, Lois Capps, Bill Pascrell, Elijah Cummings, Bob Filner, Mike Honda, Barbara Lee, John Dingell, James Moran, Nick Rahall, Andre Carson, Mary Jo Kilroy, Carolyn Kilpatrick and Jim McDermott are among the top receivers of CAIR money in congress. In 1963, long after the conclusion of World War II Hailee Selassie said: “Throughout history, it has been the inaction of those who could have acted, the indifference of those who should have known better, the silence of the voice of justice when it mattered most, that has made it possible for evil to triumph. As memorable and iconic as that speech was, the League failed to create effective sanctions and only six nations members refused to recognize Italy’s occupation. While the rest of the world may not think a nuclear Iran would threaten them it certainly does, and I, therefore, wish Bibi much better luck at persuading Congress and this country of this than Selassie was about allowing evil to triumph at the League of Nations. The Cartman Presidency: There Is No Check On President Obama February 27, 2015 By Ben Domenech The Federalist Excerpt: The news this morning from the Imperial City: President Obama plans to ban certain bullets by executive action, threatening the top-selling AR-15 rifle: “As promised, President Obama is using executive actions to impose gun control on the nation, targeting the top-selling rifle in the country, the AR-15 style semi-automatic, with a ban on one of the most-used AR bullets by sportsmen and target shooters. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives this month revealed that it is proposing to put the ban on 5.56 mm ammo on a fast track, immediately driving up the price of the bullets and prompting retailers, including the huge outdoors company Cabela's, to urge sportsmen to urge Congress to stop the president… The inexpensive 5.56 M855 ammo, commonly called lightgreen tips, have been exempt for years, as have higher-caliber ammunition that also easily pierces the type of soft armor worn by police, because it's mostly used by target shooters, not criminals. The agency proposes to reclassify it as armor-piercing and not exempt.” Just another day in the Eric Cartman presidency. Practically speaking, today’s Left finally has the situation it wants: a sufficiently progressive president in his second term is, in effect, an unchecked dictator. The only checks and balances the constitution provides are money, nominations, and impeachment. The political and media climate have removed impeachment as a viable option; nomination disruption is a pathetic response to a president committed to Caesarism – “oh, are you going to block my nominees to DOJ, fine I’ll just ban bullets.” That leaves funding, and Republican leaders have publicly committed themselves not to using that leverage at all. Barack Obama is basically operating now without any congressional checks and balances whatsoever. There is the Judiciary and nothing else preventing him from doing anything he wants. And there is no reason to believe he will abide by court rulings. Federal law is such a thicket now, and litigation so complicated, that for every door the Courts choose to close, there are dozens of cracked-open windows the Executive can try to pry open. It’s a game of constitutional whack-a-mole, and by the time the court rulings come down, you have to deal with the consequences of the illegal steps the president has taken in the meantime. <edit> There is a description for such a leader, but it is not a president: it is a monarch, a king who is unchecked by any legislature or bound by any commitment to the rule of law, divorced completely from constitutional limited government. Imam Who Said Ayaan Hirsi Deserved Death Was Hired By DOJ To Teach Muslim Classes To Fed Prisoners daily caller ^ \| 03/03/2015 \| Chuck Ross An Egyptian-born imam who in 2007 said that Somali-born activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali should receive the death penalty for her criticism of Islam is now a Department of Justice contractor hired to teach classes to Muslims who are in federal prison. According to federal spending records, Fouad ElBayly, the imam at Islamic Center of Johnstown in Pennsylvania, was contracted by the DOJ’s Bureau of Prisons beginning last year to teach the classes to Muslim inmates at Cumberland Federal Correctional Institution in Cumberland, Md. The records show that ElBayly has two contracts worth $12,900 to teach the classes and to provide the inmates “leadership and guidance.” One of the contracts is dated Feb. 20, 2014, and the other is dated Dec. 8, 2014. It was April 2007 when ElBayly, the imam at the Islamic Center of Johnston, protested Ali’s scheduled appearance at the University of Pittsburgh-Johnstown. Ali, a former Dutch parliamentarian who fled Somalia with her family at a young age, has been vocal in her critique of Islam, claiming that women suffer greatly under the religion. Those comments have angered many, including ElBayly, who called Ali’s statements “poisonous.” “If you come into the faith, you must abide by the laws, and when you decide to defame it deliberately, the sentence is death,” the imam told a local newspaper ahead of her university visit. ElBayly, along with Mahmood Qazi, the Islamic Center of Johnstown’s founder and past president, pressed university officials to block Ali from speaking. “I don’t want her to poison anyone’s mind,” Qazi said. “She doesn’t believe in God. How can she talk about God?” The men were unsuccessful, and ElBayly was heavily criticized for his comments, which gained national attention at the time. He apologized in a letter to the newspaper and seemingly resigned his post. But that resignation was temporary, it turns out. The federal Bureau of Prisons requires religious services contractors to provide credentials and other background information in their applications. One section asks applicants to list their associations with established religious organizations. According to recent news reports, ElBayly is once again the imam at the Islamic Center of Johnstown. The application makes no mention of a required interview, though the document indicates that one is optional. Besides the credentials, applicants have to provide two personal references and a letter of recommendation from their local religious organization. Perhaps the highest hurdle for ElBayly to clear would be the program’s requirement to affirm, ”I do not endorse nor will I practice or use language in the institution that will support violence, terrorism, discrimination against other inmates.” The Daily Caller sought to interview ElBayly, but he didn’t not respond to an email request. A phone number listed for ElBayly was directed to a fax machine. TheDC also wanted to find out more about how the DOJ’s Bureau of Prisons chooses who can teach religious classes to inmates, but the agency did not respond. The Cumberland facility also did not respond to specific questions about ElBayly’s classes. Ali has faced more heady opponents than ElBayly and Qazi. Last year, students at Brandeis University successfully forced school administrators to rescind an invitation to have Ali speak at its commencement ceremony where she was to be given an honorary degree. That incident was part of an emerging pattern of supposedly tolerant and open-minded college activists organizing boycotts against speakers who criticize Islam. Ali has also faced serious death threats from Islamic radicals over her comments. Those threats became all too real in 2004 when Dutch director Theo van Gogh was assassinated by an Islamic radical upset over a film he had directed. The script of that film, “Submission,” was written by Ali.
