I used to work for a subsidiary of Citizen. Even for a company of that size, the English translations would often appear to have been done by someone's cousin who took an English class or two in high school.

BTW, the Internet is far older than 23 years. My very first post was in 1984.

Big profit for Pritzkers on costly Chicago FBI deal

................................................................
chicago sun times ^ | Sep 14, 2014

A deal involving the federal government’s most expensive lease in Chicago produced millions of dollars in profits for a development group that included Penny Pritzker, a top campaign fund-raiser for President Barack Obama who is now his commerce secretary, a Chicago Sun-Times / Better Government Association investigation has found.

The developers also included Jack Higgins, a friend and political backer of former Mayor Richard M. Daley.

Over the 14-year term of the lease, the government will pay $280 million in rent and operating expenses for the Near West Side property, which houses the FBI’s Chicago headquarters.

That’s more than double what it cost to build the complex at 2111 W. Roosevelt Rd., which opened in 2006, records show.

Tylenol Puts Two Moms into Norman Rockwell Painting

........................................................................................................

Norman Rockwell's "Freedom from Want" is a classic painting of an American family sitting down for Thanksgiving dinner.

Tylenol has given the painting a new twist, however, by using its setting to profile several diverse families, including one with two moms.

Published in 1943, the original painting was one of four inspired by President Franklin Roosevelt's "Four Freedoms" speech.

In its new "For What Matters Most" campaign, Tylenol views the scene through a more diverse lens.

Ferguson PIO on unpaid leave after referring to Mike Brown memorial as ‘trash’

KMOV-TV ^ | December 27, 2014 | Adam McDonald

FERGUSON, Mo (KMOV.com) – The Ferguson Public Information Officer for the City of Ferguson Police Department has been placed on unpaid leave after referring to the Michael Brown memorial as ‘trash.’

According to the Washington Post, Officer Timothy Zoll, the Ferguson Police Department’s public relations officer said no crime had been reported in connection to the memorial’s destruction early Friday morning. Zoll suggested the department would look at any video of the incident, but did not specify whether the department would investigate after a vehicle allegedly ran over the memorial on Canfield Drive.

“I don’t know that a crime has occurred,” Zoll said to a Washington Post reporter on Friday. He was quoted as saying “But a pile of trash in the middle of the street? That Washington Post is making a call over this?”

The City of Ferguson released a statement Saturday, saying they initiated an internal investigation, and Officer Zoll admitted he misled his superiors when they inquired about the contents of his interview.

Officer Zoll has now been placed on unpaid leave, effective immediately, while the department evaluates disciplinary action.

The City of Ferguson’s statement says the “negative remarks about the memorial do not reflect the feelings of the Ferguson Police Department and are in direct contradiction to the efforts of city officials to relocate the memorial to a more secure location.”

Department officials say they are focused on creating a trusting relationship with the entire community and taking steps to improve the effectiveness of the department.?
