LA-Vegas (@ 10M passengers/y) is a much more sensible place to invest money than LA-SFO (@ 6M passengers/y).

But still, 16B is a lot of dough for maybe 10M passengers a year vs. much higher cost for the LA-SFO route.

Still, the concept is a good one, if private enterprise wants to tackle it.

Chances are, it will not get off the ground. But,...

I think this one is questionable but I do hope maglev happens. I don't know what there is about this country..........lack of brain power, innate rigidity, a missing chromosome..........but it resists like mad some very basic innovations or changes that would allow us to progress. Its frustrating.
