Just pointing out what is common knowledge in the mental health field. The statistics puts it in a rather stark light with respect to guns. And it isn't just suicide. A gun in the house ups your odds of being a victim of gun violence. A domestic disturbance can escalate to homicide a lot quicker when a gun is present than not.

Maybe someone can reach that conclusion, but not based on the statistics you put forth.

....the Japanese kill themselves at rates far exceeding Americans..........just not with guns............jumping out of tall buildings and throwing themselves in front of speeding trains are typical methods...........so the proximity to railroads and tall buildings reduce your life expectancy in Japan.......it's obvious
