No I mean "DO" as in "The Way to enlightenment, self-realization, and understanding" . Used as an attachment to aikodo or judo etc. etc. Meaning when you go to dojo, dojang, or kwoon you are not only sharing in the moves of martial arts but the "way to enlightment". The use of "DO" addition to martial art forms came about during the 16th century when need for fighting skills in the Orient was diminished, were martial arts was tansformed from a practical means of compact to the death to spiritial educational training. So the art of fighting with the sword, kenjutsu was transformed to kendo, "The way of the sword".

Samurai Maxim "A man who has attained mastery of the art reveals it in his every action" SO you take what you learn at the dojo and use it in everyday life.

Greg--> That's your Zen lesson for now grasshopper.
