If you intend to hold those 10 stocks in your real portfolio for a while, it makes sense to have been rooting for price declines on Dec 31—as long as the declines were random fluctuations rather than the result of negative news. In other words, the way you were thinking about this on Wednesday was completely logical, and I suspect that other 2015 contestants were thinking about it the same way.
