Your stop losses sell price are known to the MM and if they are 1000 shares or better, the MM will pick them up when the share price rolls close to that stop loss price. The MM makes a bundle performing this shadow purchase.

I never post a stop loss price with my broker, it is nothing more than cherry picking time for them..
