Try the beta or canary builds of Chrome. It might have been just that one normal build that is not working properly.

Boy that's hard to say, I find problems with all of them so I use each of them, but I haven't used Safari in a while, that seemed okay for the limited time I fooled with it.

I use Firefox with an addon that makes it look like the older Firefox, Mozilla, Netscape we're use to.
