2020 Crystal Ball My Crystal ball is revd up and here are 20 predictions for 2020. I will return and see how I did then. 1. Drone technology is in full swing and cities will have to legislate the use because of drones use to commit crime, spy on people and create nuisances. A drone terror attack with a GPS bomb only does property damage. 2. The fat pill becomes available and though it is expense, it works. Side effects lobby many to pull it. 3. The Anti Hillary movement gives the Republicans the Presidency. 4. Unemployment is at 6.8% and manufacturing does not rebound. Inflation is a low 2%. 5. The movie theaters start to close at record pace. People pick and choose their TV and movies on line. 6. Biofuels become viable for energy. All the plant waste is made into cheap fuel and sold locally. A gallon goes for $2.99. Oil is a low $60 a gallon. 7. North Korea regime changes hands. Iran goes to moderate leaders. Putin gives up in Russia so that they can rejoin the G8. 8. The mini nuke bomb is successfully tested. The radiation residue is still a problem. The IED hits the USA as California group terrorizes the area. 9. A deadly flu outbreak kills 2000 before getting under control in the USA. 10. A Russian sub explodes and sinks in the Pacific Ocean. 11. A high frequency weapon capable of brain damage receives condemnation. 12. Pot is legal in 10 states. Heroin is the drug that kills 1200 people a year now. 13. An anti technology movement takes place and spurs groups to create a commune. Their attacks on tech centers creates havoc and the internet slows to a crawl for certain sites. 14. Goldman Sach emails are hacked and sent out to embarrass many political figures. 15. Illinois votes on becoming a right to work state. 16. Paypal IPO reaches over a billion dollars. Amex counters with phone payments reaching 10 million transactions. The Dow breaks 23,000. The S&P 500 breaks 2000. Google is the most valuable company in 2020. 17. The baseball cap wireless camera makes a debut sparking bans against the use in schools, ballparks, and churches. 18. Human behavior modeling is used to screen applicants in the job pool. Lawsuits blame programmers for the faults. 19. Facial Recognition software can be used for the phone. Central places like train stations and public buildings use the technology to arrest several. 20. A religion forum featuring the major religions is an unexpected hit on TV. Jack
