I think the train is going through 8 this week and not looking back. Some interesting trades going on today, blocks anywhere from 200 to 300+K moving through. This looks very bullish to me. Any thoughts on this activity?

PS: To Quad-K on my last: FYI, I don't hold a position in NOVL, long
*OR* short. Alphonse will be able to help you with the "wrong way"
stuff <grin>. In other words, I'm not talking the stock down (or up
for that matter) because I have an interest in it at this time. I did,
and I "may" again. But not now.
Regards,
Joe...

Hello Joe: Stoned deaf, that's what they are.

I was a lurker for a couple of years on this board. I couldn't believe the effort and time you put in to keep everyone informed. Other than Eric Schmidt, it appears that things are much the same with many jokers remaining behind the sound proofed doors of the BOD and exec suites.

Keep up your comments, maybe by some miracle they will be heard. It eats me up to see well informed, hard workers like Scott L. in a situation where they are the sole effective marketers of Novell products. There sure isn't any other info I can spot in the trade mags, WSJ, etc. Anybody seen one effective ad?

Lawrence

I just ran my stochastic and diastolic models, using advanced technical analyses, on Novell for the period of January 1996 to present.

The model predicted that Novell will be at 5 7/8 by the end of the year.

The only other possibility is for more takeover rumors to push the stock slightly higher, but the rumors probably would lack credibility.

For the record, John Young is my financial hero. If he ever leaves Novell and finds another host, I will immediately short them too. I like Schmidt, too, but more because he is just clueless and rather dim witted as a mediocre CEO.

BTW, my naked December 10 calls expired worthless, adding a few more dollars to the Christmas shopping basket. I've more than doubled my money on the naked May 10 calls too. I love this company!!!!

Short and Proud!
