CMG: Just to yik yak and it will be long so bear with me.

I understood that re Petrobas. Heck I can find many who are concerned. I also understand news services project and are not always accurate.

in fact the soft bashers will throw similar out to then suggest.. well if this happens this could happen or that could happen .. etc.

Here's how I see it.

ALL of it was possible in 2011... And here we are again.

Yet Drys today is a more balanced company that has managment that can pull levers. Not only that they just renegotiated the 700 m and also had some 15 m shares returned to treasury. Meaning they are in a better position today. Of course the soft basher will say.. BUT they paid 12% for this.. or what if they have to cut dividend... And the SOFT BULL would say and what if they cancelled rigs and cut debt. The game of what if's can drive one nuts.

The reason I mentioned the quorum so often was to point out would managment still be in control. And THEY ARE!

The reason I pointed out shares etc was to identify who has major % Score that one for ECONOMU and gang.

Yet I still understand activism or what can be done to wrest control.

All of that will help determine what can happen if management has control and there is some glitch with a contract, a cancellation.

In the end it still comes down to VALUE. What is DRYS/ORIG worth. Here and 3 years from now if they stay in the game.

And what the company can or can not do to free up that value. So far they spend most of their energy reacting.

So when one ponders can PETROBAS have an effect. SURE.. So too could many others if this or that went bad. Yet the flip side is what happens if there is no problem. What if there is some GOOD NEWS.. HMMM NAH that can not happen to a sector in duress. Yet history shows that at some point the sector bottoms and then moves UP.. While doing so equities rise and then the hard bashers come at ya day after day saying things are for crap.. Until the facts are so obvious all get on board. DRYS is closign to the bottom and turn then at the TOP reading to drop as we just saw with WYNN.

So there is no end of fuel for the soft basher and why I try to be objective.

Peterobas or no Petrobas crude is still going to be needed.

Tankers are going to be needed to ship.

And in the world of what company has positioned itself to be positione on the rebound.. DRYS is right in the thick of things. Now a soft basher would point out.. BUT.. in year 2015 x has to be addressed re debt etc...And the hard basher will use the word DEFAULT where it does apply or heck where it doesn't matter for just as some carelesslyuse the word Reverse/Split so to some use DE LIST.. And it takes knowledge to understand the particulars.

So I asked you that question to see if you were on top of the issues. Not reading some news service or some message board or lately Seeking Alpha were many read there posts as if they are gospel. NAH.. Ya got to do the work.

At some point I'll take a look but Im busy watching.. FIRST TAKE..
