but I think it was an accident.
It must be very comforting to live in a bubble of deceit in which an entire ship of survivors sworn testimony can be ignored to reinforce your personal dogma.

I guess when you run down a pedestrian in a crosswalk you can just as easily justify it by saying saying, "He should have seen me coming !"
