OHHH REALLY???? Why did they not state that before the CHIMP stood in front of it declaring "an END to hostilities in IRAQ" and why was it put their by BUSHS PEOPLE??? Spare me your BS PUHLEASE!!!!!!!

The 2003 Mission Accomplished speech gets its name from a banner that read "Mission Accomplished" displayed on the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincolnduring a televised address by United States President George W. Bush on May 1, 2003 and the controversy that followed.

Bush stated at the time that this was the end to major combat operations in Iraq. Bush's assertion—and the sign itself—became controversial after guerrilla warfarein Iraq increased during the Iraqi insurgency. The vast majority of casualties, both military and civilian, occurred after the speech. [2]

In other words, it was a completely staged theatrical display, designed to make a man who avoided military service look like the warrior he never was.

So, please, spare me the [p]outrage and faux indignation. That dog does NOT hunt.

I’m not even sure it will get up off the porch for dinner.
