Remember the truth, and protect yourself.
Having being doing this since I was 23.
Never trusting any government or any big institution...

I can get you a Google Earth of the place I was walking (April 1976) when it hit me:
"Freaking me! In this country you've got to get money else you are half dead!"

It hit me like a lightning bolt.

Governments want people to believe that if the population put them in charge they will take care of the people.

But people fail to see the limitations governments have.
Or may be people like to believe that there is someone there that can grab them if they fall.

For me is like this: if I fall, I will hit my ass in the pavement real good!

Spain did not have what it takes to be as wealthy as European core countries. Europeans tried to make the Portuguese and Spanish believe that they could be as well off as the European core countries were already.

I know the European people of the core countries and I do know Portuguese and Spanish people.

I can tell you, and trust me on this, they are not the same people. After trying to propel them into their level, it fail and we could ask this question:

If Greece, Portugal and Spain were not as prosperous as the core European countries, was it not a sign they were destined to be poorer than the Euro core owing to their own internal capabilities?
