Let's not forget to add in the Astra $2MM bonus ($0.05/share) when Germany, Italy, France, and Spain approve MUSE for sale in those countries. That will be an extra $0.05 X 4 = $0.20/share added to EPS if all countries potentially approve the product for sale in the 1st quarter.

If Vivus has the old plant fully running in early January (2 lines) which is very likely plus the 1 new line in the new plant running by late February and shipment to the UK is approved by the MCA in January, I feel the projected First Call $0.09/share EPS for 1st quarter earnings is very low.

A ballpark 1st quarter EPS range estimate might be: Astra money $0.05 - 0.20/share EPS + production money $0.23 - 0.33/share EPS - advertising money $0.05/share EPS = $0.23 - 0.48/share EPS for the first quarter.

This estimate is based on sales of all production to US and European markets with inventory levels remaining at 45 days throughout the 1st quarter.

Let's wait and see !

I was trying to make a point.
Of course it will go up, I believe it may go up to $40. Most of the analysts had buy ratings when VVUS was $40, many clients lost money.
The only thing which moves stock price is positive earnings surprise. I think they purposely lowered earnings to such low levels so that VVUS beats them with a high margin, then flys up.

TA: On behalf of whomever wishes to join me in so doing, welcome back as an active contributor! In the past, when Tunica is buying, VVUS is rising. I'm for a return of that behavior.
