>> 1Drillers are going belly up as oil prices crash, and assets (oil, because of extraction costs, and coal, because it is Killer Coal)) will be stranded. New drillers will emerge, but drilling costs will still remain high.

It would be a serious mistake to celebrate "drillers going belly up" -- although, most drillers have been through this process before and recognize that it is likely a temporary situation. When oil prices no longer support the higher cost of horizontal methods, you'll get less total drilling and a greater focus on less expensive vertical completions.

>> 2)We (the gvt) are building a job-creating clean-running train, instead of (the gvt) building something like 4000 miles of roads and 2 airports used by FF fueled cars and planes.

Hopefully, that money will not be wasted. But yes, it is typical of government. Building trains people don't want and won't ride.

At this time "clean running trains" are more of a Money Eater than a job creator.

They're like vanity projects for people that want to "appear" environmentally conscious.

We need roads and bridges a heck of a lot more than we need clean running trains.
