The mistreatment of prisoners at Abu Ghraib was against U.S. military policy and law. It was an illegal act and the perpetrators were apprehended, prosecuted and imprisoned. By the U.S.

How anybody could claim to be radicalized to commit jihad against the West because of the criminal acts of a few prison guards stretches credibility. If, on the other hand, they said they were motivated by the U.S. killing of bin Laden, that might be more believable.
