I hope that you are wrong about Intel going to $50, even in the short term. If Intel goes to $50, the warrants, WHICH EXPIRE IN MARCH, go to $30. They were at $80 in August. You do the math to calculate the percentage loss.

Rarebird,

There are alot of short term worries and concerns that are causing the selling: Sub $1,000 PC's, Southeast Asian crisis, Pentium II transition, Margin pressure, and reduced earnings estimates by many analysts.

I don't get how the Pentium II transition, or any other transition can be viewed as negative. Intel has been in middle of one transition or another continuously (486Dx->DX2->DX4->Pentium->MMX->II) plus there has been transitions in process technologies.

I would view a state when Intel is not in the middle of some transition to a better product as a negative.

Joe
