Fuchi, Before you buy an AGP board, you should read this article from PC World. In general, they claim that, at this time, AGP is not much faster than PCI.

Somehow, Mark has convinced me that the coming 128-MXi with > 4X AGP will be much faster than any separated AGP card could achieve in both 2D and 3D graphic.

I have been saying for a long time that AGP is a hoax. The benefits are so small under so limited circumstances that it should be irrelevant.

The fact that isn't is scarry. It says that the industry has moved even further from objected evaluation of facts almost to the point that technologies are like fashions. They are moved by hype, celebrity and PR, rather than merrit.
