Yes, we most always remember that the republicans were in the White House during the worst terrorist incident in US history. An intelligence failure of epic proportions. They then went on to launch a war to find weapons of mass destruction that didn't exist, create a legal framework to justify torture, balloon the deficit and tank the economy, leaving office with the worst presidential approval rating in memory. Ahh the good old days.
