I'll take it one step further since you clearly understand who controlled the house. IF you have the prowess to pull up a chart of the SPX going back to SEPT 2008 and apprx the 28th.. the DAY BEFORE the HOUSE voted for the TARP vote.. And then look at that chart from that date to APRIL 2009.. It is clear to see what happened when the HOUSE VOTED NO.. A HOUSE that the DEMS controlled the majority and VOTED NO at a time where a YES VOTE was imperative. Yet MS PELOSI pulled her crap re how PAULSON made the request for 750 B on a few pages.. And as she did doing the HOW dare they ask for that amount.. She took the vote to the floor.. and got the NO. It was a decision made by those who wanted to have a decline into the elections. The error was they had no clue re the reaction and once that no vote hit.. The chit hit the fan and then we have the scramble to get the SENATE to vote YES.. the house followed.. The removed the Republicans from power with the election of the now sitting president. That was what they wanted.. And they near caused a seizure of the financial system.. The new president came in stating he was bringing the thunder.. i.e GEITNER. cept when GEITNER showed it was clear the damage done. Merril losses which were to be 2 B expanded to 13 B. BAC the company that stepped up back in SEPT 2008 became a scape goat in 2009 with how could you. When in FACT CEO LEWIS pointed his finger and said HOW COULD YOU!!!!! VOTE NO at a time it was critical to VOTE YES.. And as a result the selling caused MERRIL's and others losses to expand. Now while all this was going ON.. MS PELOSI then jammed the healt care down our throats with the I'll read it after it's passed along with the WE MUST PASS THE STIMULUS.. it would be unconsional to NOT pass it at a critical time in our history.. HMM the same THUGS who voted NO for the tarp at a CRTICAL moment . This ADMIN has made some very eregious decisions while in office.. And the majority members of the house made a whooper going in. OH and I don't remember seeing MR O say.. HEY GUYS don't get stupid with that vote. He didn't say a word. cuz he wanted to be ELECTED. Which he was.. But for all these years and a cost of TRILLIONS to right the ship which is STILL ON LIFE SUPPORT as MS YELLIN is behind the curve and the risk is DEFLATION. So thanks for your post. And again.. just pull up that chart and time frame. NUFF SAID. OH and that comes from someone who like MANY exploited the downside of the markets that were a result of that NO VOTE..
