Howard, Thank you for your post explaining how you interpreted what I wrote on the PCYC post. I honor your right to have made that post & I sincerely appreciate your explaining your thought process. And I truly appreciate your dropping the charges from sexual torture to assault. Moreover, I agree with you that it is not too unreasonable to suppose that the certain Courtney referred to in the PCYC post was Courtney Willfore. And so, with the standard reduced from reasonable doubt to not too unreasonable I would like to suggest another possible interpretation of "beginning to fantasize about a certain Courtney who has so far eluded my offensive clutches by running like the wind into wooded areas." First, I need you to understand the inheritance tax situation that currently applies in the United States. I apologize for any misinterpretations on my part, but as I understand it, a surviving spouse can pass along to heirs only $600,000 before the inheritance tax kicks in at 37% & accelerates rapidly to 60% on bequests over over $3,000,000.00. Additionally, some cities & states such as New York City & New York State inpose additional punitive estate taxes. But the worst blow of all is that the IRS taxes pension accouts such as IRA's on top of the estate tax. So, in the example of someone who might for argument sake might have $10,000,000.oo in his IRA when he dies, UNCLE SAM takes approximately $6,000,000.00, then c ities & states take their pound of flesh, which for purposes of easy calculation, we will assume to be zero, even though that is not the case. From the $4,000,000.00 left out of the ten, the irs then takes its' forty percent {39.6%}. So, the heirs are lucky to get $2,400,000.00 out of the ten before costs of administration& probate, etc. Any old geezer who knows this, might be motivated to try to give it away rather than have it taxed away. This, then, sets up the alternate scenario in "the certain Courtney" fantasy.
A small purse without a handle is called a clutch. An offensive clutch is one which doesn't match its' users' shoes & outfit. "Courtney escapes the offensive clutches of someone who has made so much money in LGND that it takes two clutches to hold it all . He sees Courtney running from him because she thinks he wants to throw them at her & hurt her, not knowing that he wants to give her all this money in the offensive clutches because it will be taxed away anyhow. He hopes she will stop running long enough to take the money before UNCLE SAm gets it. No response is needed from HB to this scenario. Bernie McDermott
