The problem is SUN's PR dept. did not do a very good job in
explaining to the public what this agreement means. So the
press and the analyst would go off on tangent and come up with
all kinds of speculations.

The key is that Intel has to deliver its chip and deliver on
the promise. But on the other hand, Sun believes that they
can deliver chips that can out perform Intels architecture.
They will continue to push pretty hard on their own hardware
products. Sun is just trying to cover all basis.

would/could move from hardware to software to support Intel's Merced. Which
could have a negative effect on the co. Any comments?
