Hi Staff My ears "warmed-up" (major indicator of mine) back in July/August when the Asian Devaluations began...I started telling my friends to watch out. Then in late Sept I began telling them the markets were about to hit a squall line....everybody thought....mhhhmmmm how can he predict a turn in the markets...everythings just chugging along so nicely. Well I was right and those friends watched their portfolio balances get Whacked....they watched it come back and continue to put money into their nest eggs. But now they are a lot more nervous and approach me with a different grin. . But every potential defeat of this bull is over-ridden and my friends paper balances keep going up....they keep using their credit cards and they keep up those IRA and Keo contributions....that is a powerful force for all these 28 year old money managers who have all grown up with Peter Lynch. . Japan is the richest nation in this paper chase and they work the back rooms and excel spread sheets better then anyone....lots of smoke. But why should it all come down....I've almost stoped trying to understand it. . The whole worlds currency system reminds me of what its like sailing a boat at night, with no lights, no stars, into choppy waves, fog coming in, heat lightening stricks to west and sailing with a broken jury-rigged auto pilot. . Hopefully....by having these ears to the railroad tracks(another powerful indicator of mine) I can keep one step ahead --- and my friends and family can keep some of their profits when the squall lines hit....you know there out there some days off. . Think I will do some more work on this charting business and see if I can improve my understanding of the way markets move. Take Care Chip
