During WW II, FDR addressed the French people and said that America also believes in equality, fraternity, and liberty, and he said it in French... equality, fraternity, and liberty are a French national mantra...

JFK addressed the German people saying in German, Ich bin eine Berliner (I am a Berliner)...

Ronald Reagan, while standing at the Berlin wall said, Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall...

During the most recent rally in Paris, the mantra was je suis Charlie...

The very least any REAL American president could have done was be at that rally physically and announce to the French people, je suis Charlie,... it would have carried the American torch and strengthened our bond with the French and all the people and leaders of the world who attended that rally... if that had happened, all 3.7 million people at that rally would have cheered and helped to restore America's standing as a world leader...

But, instead, that despicable and disgraceful piece of camel shit stayed home to watch a football game, and meanwhile he's the one who fumbled the ball... what a complete asshole!!! a world class asshole!!!

True, a rally itself doesn't fight terrorism, but the rally was a very needed and powerful moment of catharsis for those people... I only wish the rally would have marched into those idiotic no go zones, that would have made for a much better rally and would have delivered a far stronger message...
