Hi Sam; If AOL really has 10m subs why am I still getting these
free please try me AOL disks in the mail..I would like to see
the way they count subscibers, and how long they hang onto
dead accouts just to keep the hype up.
Did you see the spin in the B&N's last quater report..as they went
on and on about incresed store sales...something like accounting
for 87% or so of their income UP from 70% or so , I guess you
know that kind of UP..means that outside sales went DOWN,
also their inventory is UP..considerable..and they talked a rosy
picture, profit this and profit that..untill you get to the bottom
and see they still had a net loss per share..and somewere in it
they mentioned how they will take a one time charge bringing in
the juck bonds they sold..how come that interest got skewed to
the back of the stove, and is now pushed into next quater..
it reminds me of all the rosy pictures that Block Buster vidio
put out, untill they could no longer avoid or stop the real
truth.
B&N and AOL are a matched pair , it ought to be interesting..
