There is no conspiracy to making money; just follow the gold; anyone who doesn't view analysts as mere pawns of their back room operations doesn't understand Wall Street. Absent back office dictated analysis the analysts function as either glorified reporters or CNBC parrots. Just like when you see Geese flying South you know it's time to buy sweaters; so, when you see analysts parroting sell gibberish you know it's time to buy stocks. Rather than a conspiracy it works more like a compromise. Wall Street isn't in business to push money into investors pockets while trying to scrimp along on an 1/8 spread plus commission.
