Read my post if you don't know what I'm talking about. What I posted was factual.

The US is in good shape wrt broadband speed and cost. It doesn't need Obama glomming onto its success and then screwing it up.

The US is 24th on that list. Most of the 23 ahead of the US are European. So I am not sure what you are talking about. Being on par with Bulgaria is not something to be proud of.

WTF difference does it make, if you're getting 20 or 30 mbps? Who needs it? Ordinary people don't need that kind of bandwidth. You can stream HD movies on every TV in the house with far less than that. It is dumb, unimportant metric after you get to a certain point and 20mpbs is far beyond that point.

And it is expensive here. Many of the US ISPs operate as de facto monopolies. So prices are high and customer service is poor, Comcast is infamous for this. This is unlikely to change because the barriers to entry are so high.

Everything is expensive here. We're the wealthiest country in the freaking world. What do you expect?

CJ,
This is unlikely to change because the barriers to entry are so high.
AT&T U Verse, Verizon FiOS, Google Fiber, just a few examples of competitors to Failcast.

Free market working as intended.
