ams: When I state that a pure daytrader does not hold overnight I am assuming that he/she:

- has the ability to call short term movements in stocks by watching the tape.

BUT by not holding positions overnight he/she:

- has the ability to have a stop loss strategy in place during the day to limit losses and avoid gaps completely.

Which affords him/her the opportunity:

- to have CONCENTRATED positions for much higher return potential than that of a trader who limits himself to investing 10% of his/her capital in one trade.
