1/23/15 Contest update Short sellers got to deflate the Contest portfolio median this week, with the Biobears putting their first weekly win on the 2015 scoreboard. Still, at Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 6.37% YTD (vs. up 9.08% YTD a week ago). And the larger-cap Nasdaq Biotech Index was able to manage a small gain for the week, finishing up 6.24% YTD (vs. up 4.64% YTD a week ago). The Nasdaq Composite Index also gained for the week, closing up .46% YTD (vs. down -2.15% YTD a week ago). GENE’s portfolio remained in the Contest lead and is now up 42.09% YTD. OHM’s portfolio, up 28.84% YTD and OLIVIER’s portfolio, up 28.55% YTD, held on to second and third place. At Friday's close, 43 of the 51 Contest portfolios were still in the black with 26 of the 51 beating the NBI.
