Keep it simple. Unless you have or intend to buy a new computer with a 3.0 USB you don't need a 3.0 external. Also, depending upon what you have on your computer drive you may not require a 1TB, and could get by with a 500GB drive. If you store a lot of photo's or images they take a lot of space and you would need a bigger drive. Otherwise you're wasting money on a higher capacity drive that won't be used to max. Reliable 500GB drives can be found for $50 to $60 everywhere.
