Booker T. Washington, America's great African-American Educator, wrote in 1910, quote 'The first white people in America, certainly the first in the South to exhibit their interest in the reaching of the Negro and saving his soul through the medium of the Sunday-school were Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson.'

I was referring to the world but the same is probably true of the other entities you mentioned. Certainly, in every case reserves are up substantially from 1980.

According to a closely watched internal study from BP, world proven reserves are up from 683 Billion bbl in 1980 to 1.7 Trillion bbl now. AFAIK, this review is not online for viewing by those who don't have access to it, however, the previous years is and it indicates just about the same results.

The key point is that we are getting much further from "peak oil", not closer.
