I want my data under my control and no one else's. Thus, I have no use for "cloud" solutions of any kind. This includes programs which run in the cloud. If the program does not reside on my computer, I don't use it.

As for all the discussion on backing up systems and data, I struggled through all the crap already mentioned with regard to back ups on Windows systems. Then I chucked Microsoft completely and moved to Apple. Time Machine is part of the OS X operating system. My entire system, including data, is backed up regularly according to my requested schedule, seamlessly. And restoration is just as seamless. I don't even have to think about it.

Good riddance, Microsoft!
