Why is this so difficult for you to understand?

If the U.S. government issued Treasury Bonds which had to be paid off in Chinese Yuan or Euros we could end up in trouble. Instead we've issued debt which has to be paid off with U.S. Dollars which we can make in unlimited quantity.

Argentina and now Russia borrowed debt which had to be paid off in currencies other than the Argentine Peso. That's the easiest way to destroy the value of their currency. If Russia had borrowed their debt in Rubles they'd still have some problems, but they wouldn't be facing default.
