Chinese leaders have a major incentive to try and cut their pollution.

They and their families have to breathe that air themselves.

But, considering their energy usage in 2030 will probably be at least 2.5 times what it is now then even if they do get to the point where 20% of it is from non fossil fuels their CO2 output will still increase dramatically.


China is the biggest burner of coal. A shift from coal will make a huge difference.
