J_F_ - The foundation of Christianity is the New Testament. That is where the the beliefs of Christianity are based. To study it would give you an understanding of that foundation.
I am not telling you to read anything. I am not expecting you to be convinced of anything.
You said,"You will note that I did not encourage a discussion of them unless it's about the foundations for the belief."
I do not know how anyone can study or discuss the foundations of Christianity without knowledge of the New Testament. To discuss the foundations for Christian beliefs you must discuss the New Testament.
You cannot discuss the foundations of the faith of Islam without discussing the Koran etc.
The only suggestion I made was that you study the faith of Christianity compared to the faith of Islam.
By doing so you could intelligently discuss the differences. If, of course, you have no interest in discussing the differences that is fine also. I merely made an attempt to encourage you to improve your knowledge and thereby stop embarrassing yourself.
