NY Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver accused of $6 million bribery and kickback scheme, taken into custody

nydailynews.com

excerpt:

Silver, who has been one of the most powerful lawmakers in Albany for more than two decades, surrendered to authorities Thursday morning. A five-count federal complaint accuses him of accepting millions from firms seeking him to wield influence in Albany on their behalf.

Politicians are corrupt to the core. They all sell their votes to the highest bidders, the lowest bidders, or any bidders. Winning an election is literally like winning numerous lifelong lotteries for the ba$tards. If a politician can only get elected and not pi$$ anyone off, he's set for life!

Silver obviously made an enemy among his peers or rivals, otherwise, he would still be raking in millions each month in exchange for just showing up and voting as he's told to vote.
