I don't know. We will have to see how long their hedges will last into 2015, and how much they have hedged--I don't have that information, I don't believe it has been filed yet.

Their debt is fixed rate, I believe (but am not really sure) without covenants re: equity valuation. If that is true, than all they have to do is be able to cover the debt and the preferreds. And, of course, keep drilling (to the extent that they can), keep moving their gas through their pipeline and, presuming their hedges last through 2015 and don't have counterparty risk, selling their product for $4 plus.

Obviously Mr. Market is highly skeptical at this point though.

  • Magnum Hunter Resources ( MHR +22.7%) bounces off multiyear lows following positive comments during a conference call this morning, which included CEO Gary Evans saying the company is not seeing liquidity issues.
  • Evans expects production to double this year even if 2015 capital spending totaled zero.
  • MHR also discloses that it recently completed two new 100% owned Marcellus Shale wells.
