Absent some other explanation of it, one can only conclude that YOU believe the aquifer contains "pools of water". As in "[i-node] had no idea that an aquifer contains pools of water." Which would make even less sense without the previous line -- "he thought they fracked the water out of the rocks..."

The bottom line is that you have been arguing this entire time without understanding that the aquifer is permeable rock, thinking instead it was some kind of underground spring of water.

There is really no other explanation for your comments.
