Precisely, and the rest of the time, elected officials are taking bribes, kickbacks, and very lucrative secret "consulting" jobs in exchange for their congressional votes, their judicial decisions, and for steering and guiding the political agenda according to the will of multi-million dollar donors, and, in some cases, multi-billion dollar donors. Presidents, congressmen, justices, judges, governors, mayors, councilmen, alderman and other political hacks are on the take and it's become rampant! Their votes and decisions are illegally sold to any and all bidders as we routinely see. That's what enables to them to show up for work on their first days in office as men of very modest means, and then eventually leave as multi-millionaires. They damned sure didn't acquire millions of dollars in wealth from their public service salaries! Although their salaries are already far too high for the government service work that they perform as public servants, they are definitely not paid enough to become millionaires while in congress. Out of the dozens of cases of political corruption that have been exposed in just the last few years alone, we now have a full and very clear picture of where their millions are rolling in from. Most of them are highly corrupt, but only the ones who fall out of favor with the establishment and become politically vulnerable and expendable are exposed and ruined.
