Mine is local redwood; I think all theirs are stucco. My redwood decks are doug fir. Wood is a renewable resource, after all. I even planted some redwoods by the creek.

You'll try to think of nothing to avoid mentioning any other causes. If it helps, right now, I'm not a big fan of growing biofuels in general. Cane sugar is a pretty good feedstock, but that's about it. If you are growing fiber hemp, seeds for biodiesel would be worthwhile. Diesel from fats and cooking grease, too.
If cellulosic alcohol ever happens, I might reconsider.
