Actually, your author made that shit up, but not B4 he misspelled "shit". NYT said ash bats may be endangered. I would expect MLB to legalize aluminum bats before deciding to shut down. Have to start a new set of records, and people will have to get used to the plink of the bat.
It doesn't mention Rat, but he did his bit to keep things real by planting a sugar maple.
