Why do hard-working, self-made people defend the pigs and born entitled? Because their interests are somewhat overlapping. Will the mob care or be aware of the difference between the two when the pitchforks and torches come out? No.

Besides this generations self-made people will likely give rise to next generations pigs and born entitled. Funny how that works.

I recall reading Warren Buffet's reasoning on why 99% of his wealth would be returned to society. I think I read it sometime in the 80's in one of Berkshire Hathaway's annual report. Back then, the world at large did not who WB was.

His philosophy was simple: For example, if he had an investment in the newspaper company you delivered papers for, or the cement company that you lugged those sacks for, or in the railway that carried them, he understood that the wealth created by his investment was built upon the backs of hardworking people such as yourself. He didn't lift a finger, so to speak; it was the likes of folks such as yourself doing all the real work, thus the wealth would be returned to the workers of society who actually created it.

As for "Bill Gates, Googlers, Steve Jobs, Irwin Jacobs and all the other 1%ers who earned their money..."

NO MAN is an island. They earned their money because they live in county with the infrastructure and freedom that allows them to do so. These freedoms are protected by people who put their lives at risk every day: military men and women, police forces, fire departments, one could even say judges who risk getting killed for sending Mafia type extortioners to prison. Most the people they employ were educated in public schools and colleges paid for by taxpayers... they commute to these jobs on highways, byways and bridges funded by taxpayers. The list goes on and on incorporating a vast array of services including the sewer systems and garbage collection that makes the workplace workable.

Its the solid civil/social/political infrastructure, built over decades/centuries, that makes creating such wealth possible.

RE: " You really don't have any idea what wealth is." Ironically, neither do you.... for wealth, my friend, is one of life's illusions, and you really don't know wealth at all.

But the best of you is found in these words: "Bludger scum like you calling me a self-indulgent pig can go to Hell."

AH... an atheist who's been insulted to such an extent as to hope the injustice he's suffered can be punished ... not just in this life... but in the one to come.... of which he proclaims does not even exist.
