I have always had the ability to not dwell on on things that I am not currently understanding. I put them "in the back of my mind" so to speak. Often I will read some new fact or hear some different twist in a conversation and the idea will pop up again and I will make some progress on it. This was not always a good technique as often in school or work a result is wanted on a certain date and time. When it works though it can result in a satisfying epiphany. I have a lot of notions about infinities and time that await inspiration.
