I love California. Lived there for many years. However, you have to admit that California government has been terribly bad at managing their budget. What gets them out of hot water most of the time is the incredible tech engine in Silicon Valley and SF. The amazing profits generated by the US technology industry comes in large part from the brilliant minds concentrated right there. I love it. Look at Apple. What an amazing company spawned by that terrible asshole, but brilliant mind, Steve Jobs. Thinks of the amazing number of millionaires created just by that one company. Just fantastic. That is the power of capitalism and the free market. We need more of this, not less. Socialism kills companies like Apple before they ever achieve greatness. Look at Venezuela, Argentina, and the litany of other socialist countries. Do they have innovative powerhouses like we do here? Nowhere near the engine of growth we've created. That's the special sauce in the US.
