I don't know if anyone ever stated it before, but I would think that is the job of every Democrat when there is a Republican president, and vice-versa, UNLESS one side or the other comes up with exceptionally good legislation. Something that I don't believe there has been one instance of in the last six years. From my point of view McConnell and Boehner have saved the country from a more serious disaster. I'm not saying I like either of them, but it was absolutely critical that we have divided government to block Obama and Reid. Look, I understand you're a liberal and thus have different views from mine. However, the president really had to be constrained. The health care law was a disaster; but had he not been constrained by Congress, it is unimaginable what he might have done. The president is an idiot. Chauncey. It is sad, after these people of extreme intelligence and experience created our Constitution, to have an idiot like Obama come in like a bull in a china shop and just wreck it for eight years. He needs to be retired and the sooner the better.
