Pete, I think they said it soon after the October crash (we all know this - thanks to Joan.) Perhaps they are making it public only now to let some more suckers come on board for the extra 3% gain on the S&P. In a sense I guess they are right. S&P did set a new record after the october mini-crash.

My, what a cynical young man. I doubt a rally into January for the simple reason that there should be plenty of companies whose earnings will be dampened by the Asian debacle. Everytime the bulls give it a go, they'll be met by more bad news. Today 3M, tomorrow...
