a 'sacred duty' Fasting on Yom Kippur and keeping kosher are sacred duties. Coming to America, not so much. Don't recall it being mentioned in the Torah.

Have to post this here... This am on CNBC, Michelle Caruso Cabrera is in Greece following the Greek situation. She was interviewing a Prof of Economics, very much a part of the changes going on and certainly a leftist. He formerly taught at the University of Texas. Cabrera asked him how he could have survived in Texas...he responded..." I did not live in Texas, I lived in Austin." I am still laughing.
